TAIPEI - Taiwanese hardware vendor, Gigabyte motherboard shows the most expensive product in Taiwan's Computex event which took place June 1 to 5, 2010. Gigabyte shows hmotherboard worth approximately USD700 or Rp6, 4 million.
Mptherboard GA-X58A-UD9 designed for overclockers who want a super-powerful ability to PCnya performance. Motherboards are produced in limited quantities are dibanderol with a high price and not including other supporting components such as processors, memory, graphics card, and other components.
PC World, Thursday (3/6/2010) reported that the X-58a-U9 use of high-end components such as capacitors made in Japan, which has the ability to deliver 1500 watts of electrical power to the CPU. The motherboard is capable of providing a huge boost to the speed of processors like Intel's six-core 3.33GHz, and Core i7 Extreme Edition-980x.
"It gives them a better power," says Tim Handley, Deputy Director Gigabyte marketing.
Lainn features, among others, promoted Gigabyte USB 3.0 slots, seven PCI expansion slots, and 4-Way SLI and CrossfireX, which allows users to install up to four Nvidia graphics card or Advanced Micro Devices.
It is said Handley, X58A-UD9 originally intended as a limited edition motherboard but it will change with market demands. When market demand is high then the highend motherboards Gigabyte will manufacture the hardware en masse.
"We expect demand for this motherboard will be doubled," Handley said, without mentioning the details of what the amount of production for the X-58a-U9. (Ugo)
